All drop downs open at once

Have had multiple reports from customers who've reported all of their drop downs opening at once when they're creating new records. 

Have seen it happen with the Contact History subpanel in the Accounts Module and when creating a new Opportunity record. 

Both of these examples are using Sugar Version 13.0.3 
We believe that this might be related to the newest version of Microsoft Edge as these customers are all using Microsoft Edge 129.0.2792.52 (Official build) (64-bit) and this doesn't happen when the same Users try in Chrome. 

Has anyone else seen this happen and if so does anyone have any guidance to potentially resolve this?

  • It's not restricted to v13.x, we lodged support ticket 526172 with Sugar on the 24th Sept, and we've now got an open issue #95722

    The issue relates to the Autofill functionality in Microsoft Edge browser. It is not restricted to v13, we have it present in v14.1.0

    It is recommended to use a different browser if the customer needs to use the Autofill functionality, or they need to avoid using Autofill functionality in the Microsoft Edge Browser until the issue is resolved.

    This is indeed a known problem with Microsoft Edge. Issue #95722 was submitted to address this behavior ( portal.sugarondemand.com/95722 ). The Issue has since been escalated. Feel free to use the link provided to monitor our progress.

  • We also have this problem with SugarSell v14.1 - when creating a new activity and info is entered in the "Subject" field all drop downs open at once.  Trying the suggestion to use the Chrome browser rather than Edge.  Following Ticket# 95722 for resolution.  

  •  Hi Dustin, do you have any further information from Sugar about the resolution to this issue? The bug is marked as closed but there's no fix version and no resolution information we can see.

  •   The issue has been fixed in code targeted for SugarCRM's 15.0 release. The product teams have been working on backports compatible with 14.2.0 and 14.1.0 so that our hosted customers on those versions can get relief from this shortly. They have ticket queued up and ready to hotfix SugarCloud hosted instances on 14.1.0 and 14.2.0 as soon as the backports are finalized. We do not yet have commitments about when those hotfixes will be rolled out.
