"Server unavailable at the given URL" for Android app

Hi everybody,

I just installed SugarCRM (6.5.17 version) in this url http://sugarcrm.crm.move2.com.br and installed the Android app too.
I am trying to connect from my android but it is showing the message: "server unavailable at the given url".

I'd tried to put/remove http://, https://, unchecked the secure connection box etc and none of these worked.

Could you help me?

Regards...
Ronaldo
  • Hi Ronaldo,

SugarCRM Mobile is only supported for version 6.7.1 and above, whereas Community Edition only goes up to version 6.5.17 at this time. This is documented in our Mobile Supported Platforms page. This is likely the reason that you are receiving this error when trying to connect. However, accessing this URL from the mobile browser should work properly.

  • it should be time to update / repair your app. i use Sugar 6.5.20 CE and got the same error since months.
    how old is 6.5.17 ? 1 Year or 2 ?
Mobile Browsing is not the same (native Browser is not supported!).

edit: i read in reqiurements now "CE is not supported"  8-(      ---> UNINSTALLED !

    bye bye
  • Alex-
I also get the same error message, "server unavailable at given url".  Our sugar instance is 6.7.10, so this should be supported.

       Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Chris
  • Hi Chris,

Just to be sure, can you confirm that you are using the correct app: SugarCRM Mobile (as opposed to Sugar Mobile)?

Also, when entering the URL, ensure that you are using "yourinstancename.sugarondemand.com", omitting "www.". This is explained in our User Guide.

    I hope this helps!
