Custom related fields' labels reset to default

Hi,

My custom related field labels constantly revert back to default?
e.g. Husband Name = Contact or Practitioner Name = Contact

In this example, Levi's field is related to his Wife's contact record.

As you can appreciate, things get very confusing within our instance as more and more custom related fields are added (not to mention within the Admin back-end...Which field is that again?!)

A non-code solution or suggestions would be hugely appreciated if possible.

Using Pro 6.7.5 On-Demand.

Hi Wayne,

I am sorry that you are running into this issue with your labels on your relate fields. This sounds like a known issue, so I created a case on your behalf for our Support team to investigate this further. I added some notes on my findings, but if I am correct, this would be a change our team would have to make since you're hosted On Demand.

They'll be reaching out shortly with more information.

Thanks for your time and energy, Alex.

Support have since been in contact with me and hotfixed the problem. It appears to be working correctly on the FIELDS that are currently related/effected.

I'm yet to add more to be 100% sure that the issue is solved, but I remain positive. I'll confirm with Support when I get a chance (I have a million and one things on at the moment!)

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Unable to change field label. I am Trying to change a label using Admin->Studio Label Editor.
The label is changed successfully unfortunately after I try Repair->Quick Rebuild the Label return to the state before my change.

I search to find the old label to the files before I try the Quick Rebuild and I find it to the following
./custom/Extension/modules/Accounts/Ext/Language/en_us.Export Downgrade.php:12:$mod_strings['LBL_EDITVIEW_PANEL1'] = 'First Time Registration';

Any idea ?

I may be seeing the same issue. Running 6.5.17 CE. When I load a custom module built in module Builder, the labels are correct. I then run the repair > Quick repair, the labels change. I have been correcting in Studio but the same thing happens when the repair is run.

Where do I find the original (Prime) label and fix it there? Can I get the hotfix as well?

I'm working on getting you a copy of the hotfix. The most recent copy I have is for 6.5.16. Once I have an updated copy for 6.5.17, I'll send it over to you.

Hi Alex,

I think i am having a similar problem, specifically with the information in the dropdown menu's once i create or even edit a drop down it will reflect in the module, but will the revert straight back to to the default(in the case of an edited dropdown).

your help would be appreciated.

I am using version 6.5.16 build 1082

Hi Alex, I have the same issue. I am on 6.5.17CE. Can you please send me the fix? If you don't have a fix for that version please send the one for the 6.5.16 and I will figure out how to apply it to a newer version
