ACTION REQUIRED: Sugar 9 Security-Only Support

Sugar 9 entered the Security-Only Support phase beginning 30 October 2020. Security-Only Support means SugarCRM will only provide security-related defect fixes for Sugar 9. Non-security defect fixes and feature enhancements will no longer be provided. The Security-Only Support phase will last for 6 months before Sugar 9’s planned End-of-Support date of 30 April 2021, when all customer support, maintenance patches, and bug fixes for Sugar 9 will cease. 

During the Security-Only Support phase, SugarCRM strongly recommends customers perform one of the following options prior to the End-of-Support date on 30 April 2021: 

  • Migrate to SugarCloud. Migrating to SugarCloud has the benefit of automated product upgrades with no action required on your part. Talk to your Sugar or reseller partner sales representative about migrating. 
  • Upgrade to the most current patch release of Sugar 10, which is 10.0.3 at the time this was written. Sugar 10 will be supported until 30 April 2022. 
  • Consider Sugar’s Upgrade Transition Program to provide extra time to plan an upgrade or migration to a supported platform if the above options cannot be performed by 30 April 2021.
