Using Email Double Opt-In's

Sugar Market has an out of the box easy to setup double opt in process. When a form is submitted the system sends out a generic opt in email allowing the person to opt in to future communications. However you can also build your own double opt in process with branded emails and data that maps directly back to your CRM. Here is an example of a form submission requesting a case study.

Form - The form can be setup to capture key personal data and add the record into a double opt in nurture flow

Nurture - Here are the key steps for the nurture flow:

  • First of all the nurture checks the database to see if the record has already opted in
  • If the person is already opted in the nurture will immediately send out the case study email
  • If the person is not opted in the nurture will send out your own personally branded opt in email
  • The email contains 1 link which when clicked will confirm the records opt in status and update the CRM
  • After the opt in the case study email will then send out
  • If the opt in is not confirmed within 3 days then no opt in action is taken and the record remains opted out
