What do you mean by 'runon the local host'. If you want to have this also available in the cloud instances you need to build a module loadable package that contains all the modifications and installs them on the instance. More information about it can be found here: support.sugarcrm.com/.../

Apologies for not being clear on this. How do we import our script into SugarCRM? 

Can you read the given link? It should all be clear. What you need to do is to basicaly build a zip file that contains the files you changed and a manifest file that contains the instructions for sugar how to install them.

In this case I think it's simply a copy file section that you need. So you make your changes locally and if tested create a zip file with the files and the manifest to install it on an instance.
