Sugar 7.7.0.0 - The total count of records in subpanel list views it doesn't work correctly

Hi,

I'm in a demo (SugarCRM Enterprise, Version 7.7.0.0), and I think there is a functionality that is not working correctly.

Specifically, the functionality is the total number of records in a subpanel. If we have a subpanel hidden and click on the number (5+ for example), the counter is removed from subpanel. It only works when we open the subpanel before we click on the total number.

Steps to Reproduce:

  - Go to a contact record view.

  - Click on the total records of some subpanel that have more than 5 records (which appears for example, 5 of 6+).

Expected result:

  - Subpanel shows "5 of 44".

Obtained result:

  - Text "5 of 6+" is deleted!.

However, if we have opened the subpanel before click, it works.

Is this functionality is by default?

Thank you very much.

  • Hello Rubén Recacha Camacho,

I hope you are doing well

It seems like you have a great question but this is how sugarcrm has given the functionality. This is not bug.

I like this feature that will load the data when you click on subpanel which makes the sugarcrm faster to load as well as just called the count query when click on 6+ which is very nice thing.

sugarcrm support Please correct me if I am wrong.

    Thanks

  • Hello Prashant Patel,

    Thanks for you response.

If you have the subpanel hidden it is good that the query is not executed to improve performance, but I don't understand why in the first time the text "5 of 6+" disappears.

    You can try the following:

    • Enter in a record view with subpanels hidden.
    • Click on "6+" and see how disappears the text "5 of 6+".

However if you do the following, it works:

    • Enter in a record view with subpanels hidden.
    • Open the subpanel.
    • Close the subpanel.
    • Click on "6+" and displays "5 of 44". It works.

    Regards,

    Rubén Recacha.
