Editing for Text Area in Call List view

Hi All

Currently using Sugar 9.0, but soon to upgrade to 12.0

In both instances, I have tried adding a new text area field "Call Note" to the Call list view, the intention is to allow users to quickly edit the Call from list view, add a note inside and save.

By default the text area field has been greyed out when editing from the list view

The same happens with the existing Description field.

I can't find any settings in Studio to make this field editable from the list view

Any suggestions would be great

In Sugar 12 you can use Focus Drawers on your list views, see at 24seconds into this video from SugarCRM on Youtube: https://youtu.be/KpTYAkht5Mg?t=24

You can also then click the UP/DOWN on top left edge of the focus drawer. This is how we now train people to move around records on a list view.
