Sugar Outlook connector - Autofill

We are using the latest version of the Sugar Connector with outlook and it keeps trying to autofill information which is extremely frustrating as it is always in the way and never helpful.

I have tried stopping Outlook autofill, Edge Autofill, looked for Windows 11 autofill options, etc.

is there anyway to get rid of this?

  • Hi Norm,

It appears like Edge autofill is enabled in your attached screenshot.

Since the pop-up iframe is likely using Edge (I believe), you should be able to disable autofill for pop-out windows and the entire browser. I recall you mentioning that you attempted to stop Edge Autofill, but did you mean to completely disable the setting or something else?

  • Thank you for your answer. Since I don't use edge, I am fine with eliminating the autofill altogether. I have disabled it in Edge but that did not seem to fix the issue.

  • Hi Norm,

I just did a quick Google search about autofill, and it’s still enabled, even though others have disabled it completely on Edge.

Here’s a forum link on Microsoft where people wanted to delete all autofill data even though it was disabled on their settings page:

I can see that people have posted some answers there. Could you please give them a try?

  • Nord is indeed correct. Sugar Connect utilizes Webview 2 in Outlook (desktop) to facilitate much of the required functionality that Sugar Connect needs. This means that some of the stock features of Edge, like you discovered with auto-complete / auto-fill, can show up in Sugar Connects various search fields.

If you find a solution using the forum link that Nord provided, please let us know. I would love to document this internally in case it comes up again in the future.

  • Unfortunately, going through the forum and disabling the features in edge did not seem to work.
