SugarCRM v14 Timeline Dashlet on custom module (and others) do not provide the options to create (+)

SugarCRM v14 Timeline Dashlet on custom module (and others) do not provide the options to create (+)

Hi All,

I am working on Version 14.1.0 with a custom module where I have added the timeline dashlet to it.

However, I do not get the create (+) option on the timeline and only have the ability to view the related records (selected from layouts > timeline).

I am experiencing the same with a timeline on the stock Meetings and Messages modules as well.

Would anyone know how do we enable to option to create records from these timelines.

Regards,

Sheldon

  • Hi  ,

I thought that this might be related to whether the module has the 'Activities' relationship established, but that doesn't appear to be the case. In my test, I deployed a custom module, added the 'Activities' relationship, and then enabled the activities-based modules in the Timeline configuration. When I first went to the record view of the new module, the Timeline dashlet was already in the intelligence pane. It had 'create' options for the enabled activities modules, but clicking them did nothing. The Timeline dashlet also was in a persistent loading state. Once I removed and re-added the dashlet, it loaded information but there was no longer a create option.

I recommend raising a case with Sugar Support. It seems like this is a likely defect.
