What kind of reports are you trying to add to dashboard? From what I've been able to determine, you are only able to add reports that have a chart to a dashboard. You can do so by creating new dashboard (or editing existing one), adding dashlet, then selecting > Saved Reports Chart Dashlet.

I finally got around to writing something to solve this on my system, if you want to read about it I wrote it up, the code is available for download at the bottom of the post.
Your link no longer works, but I'm left wondering again why not bring back the old dashlet (Sugar v6.x) that allowed you to display results from any report, rather than the current that only allows display of just the charts?
