Making a field a clickable link in a report

Good Evening,

Has anyone ever made a field a clickable link in reports? Currently the Leads module is set to only have the contact name be a link in views, subpanels, and reports. I was able to make the "Organization Name" a link in the views and subpanels, but can not figure out how to switch it in reports.

Is this possible via code customization?

Thanks!

  • We're moving from an old, unsupported version of Sugar to a new version, and I have this same question.  In our old version, we used an add-in called "KReporter" that - from what I see so far - has a lot more customization and flexibility with reporting than Sugar's on-board reports do.

  • - Great to hear about your upgrade! Any chance you can elaborate on what field(s) aren't clickable that you're expecting to be, and also what report type you're using? Typically "Name" fields should be clickable to bring you to the record view (mentioned here). For example, if you're running a Contacts rows & columns report, you have the option to display the fields "first name," "last name," and "name." Selecting "name" will be clickable to bring you to the record view for the contact.

Some of the tips in this section of our help articles may help point you in the right direction or at least help show you some tips and tricks for using reports. We also have an on-demand training course on using Reports that will give you a great start: Creating and Using Sugar Reports.
