Hi,
I've tried all the suggested solutions. None works for me.
I've followed the steps as described in this link https://support.sugarcrm.com/Resources/Environments/Development_Environments/Vagrant_Development_Environment/ to set up my local vagrant box.
Some technical clarification:
I'm running on a MAC Machine
Box Used sugarcrm/php71es56
Any suggestions?
Maybe check file permissions?
I run these as my panacea for permissions from sugar root on Unix (should work on Mac from console too) to make sure everything from root down has the right permissions:
sudo chown -R apache:apache *
sudo find . -type d -exec chmod 775 {} \;
sudo find . -type f -exec chmod 664 {} \;

Hi Francesca,
Thanks for the reply. I tried that as well. Unfortunately i still get the same error on installation.
Anything else?
Have you checked all your logs? Any hints there?
Hi Polys, did you manage to resolve the error with your vagrant install of sugar as I'm getting same error
Hi John,
In my situation the issue seemed that it was not related to .htaccess at all. After i tried all the suggestions posted nothing was working so i did the following.
Try it. It worked for me.
First run the below command to install vagrant hosts updater
vagrant plugin install vagrant-hostsupdater
Give vagrant user on your host machine Administrative access
Vagrantfile:
Vagrant.configure("2") do |config|
config.vm.box = "sugarcrm/php71es56"
config.vm.network "forwarded_port", guest: 80, host: 4367
config.vm.network "forwarded_port", guest: 9200, host: 9292
config.vm.network "forwarded_port", guest: 3306, host: 3336
config.vm.hostname = "sugarent.test"
config.vm.network "private_network", ip: "192.168.13.38"
config.vm.provision "shell", inline: "service apache2 restart", run: "always"
end
After you run vagrant up you should have in your local hosts file an entry like
192.168.13.38 sugarent.test # VAGRANT: d3874db6e4ddef68f56276c38a060d12 (default) / 93fa1d6a-b89c-480f-8e40-443878804140
For whatever reason this solved my issue.
thanks Polys Kasinides I tried your fix amending the lines in the vagrantfile to suite my network
config.vm.hostname = "sugarcrm.localdev"
config.vm.network "private_network", ip: "10.0.2.15" (ip given to my VM made static by our DHCP server)
config.vm.provision "shell", inline: "service apache2 restart", run: "always"
and my macs /etc/hosts has
10.0.2.15 sugarcrm.localdev # VAGRANT: 1b5557523e8d290cd212d96a1dea8a74 (default) / 8b8cedf5-8b0d-4e92-985f-e455ebf048f9
so that all worked but now I cant access the site on either the domian sugarcrm.localdev or by ip 10.0.2.15
yes can get into my vagrant machine, i trued adding the same line from my macs host file to the vagrant VM
Hi @Polys Kasinides<mailto:sugarcrm-public@jiveon.com>
I’ve just recreated my vagrant VM just to remove any of the custom fixes id already tried and have full ssh access with sudo su for root privileges
