Is a million too much for a criteria in Process Author?

I´m using Process Author and wanted to send out an email to the Supervisor when a new Opportunity for the Amount of 50m or more is created. The logic is simply:

I am using the operator "greater than or equal." And then an email is sent to the Supervisor to encourage him/her to give some compliments. Well, I didnt get any mail so this wasn´t working.

I then starting putting in smaller number for the Amount criteria. This works (email is sent) if I put  1, 1000 or even 500.000 in the Amount. But as soon as I put 1.000.000 or more (without the dots), the mail is not sent. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Oh and then I started testing using the operator "greater than" and it worked with 999.999 just as the one above but when I use a 7 digit number (for example 1.000.000) it stops working.

Could this be a bug? Nahh, probably not.

Once again, thanks all you guys for you help

  • Kristjan,

Can you tell me what version of Sugar 7 you are running?  I tested the latest version of Sugar and do not see the "Amount" field as an available field to use in the criteria section.  I tested this with the Likely field and was able to have the Process Definition trigger as expected for when the Likely was over 1B.  I also tested if maybe there was an issue with using different separators within your profile.  Please also let me know if you are using a different currency other than USD.

    Kind Regards,

  • Hi Lori

We just upgraded to 7.6.2.1, Enterprise.  We are not using USD but ISK. So you don´t see "Amount" as in my picture?

We don´t use decimal places either. We could not find a place to remove the decimal in the admin (apart from each and every user) so my Linux admin ended up taking the decimal off in an config file (not in the GUI). Could that be affecting the situation?

    Thanks
