Apple iPad on Wifi

Hi Support,

I submitted app and received this message from Apple regarding app performance in iPad;

Android has been successfully published but apple seem to have found an issue.

Is this something you are aware of or have tested to see the issue on an iPad?

Thank You

  • Hi Sayfur

Surely, this use case was tested by us and everything works fine in stock app
Probably in your case there is some kind of error in your custom code which makes your app stuck on splash screen and this was reported by Apple

    Hope this helps, Eugene

  • Hi Eugene,

We do not have custom code, app is created via Sugar MACs.

Only thing that was different from our last upload is the Apple Provisioning Profile as that had expired.

All other colours, images, icons etc are still the same as previous uploads.

Please can you advise how to resolve this

    Thank You

  • Hm

Did app become unresponsive after trying to login to Sugar server or prior to that?

  • Hi,

Unresponsive prior login to Sugar server.

    Apple were very specific how and on what device issue occurs plus is iOS version;

'reviewed on iPad running iOS 12.4 on Wi-Fi - Specifically, your app was stuck at the splash screen and it was unresponsive to tapping.'

You said surely the case was tested, but was it tested on iPad running on iOS 12.4 while on WiFi?

    Regards

  • Sayfur

Were you able to run your custom build locally?

  • Hi Eugene,

It was tested on an apple iPhone device but not on an iPad on 12.4 iOS. That issue was highlighted by Apple.

Using the MACs system, was an app created and tested on your end using an iPad via wifi on iOS12.4?

  • Zhongmin Tian could you please take a look at this question?

  • Hi,

Please can I get some action on this to reach a resolution, its been a week since the last response and a month since I posted the issue.

    Thank You

  • Sayfur Rahman
SDK-based mobile app absolutely should work fine on Apple iPAD using WiFi

This was tested and I didn't see any complains from other community members regarding this use case

    1. What customizations have you applied to your project before submitting the app?

    2. Try running your app locally using iPad or iPad simulator over WiFi and see if it works. Are there errors in console?

    Best regards, Eugene

  • I recreated the build to the latest version using MACs with the exact same settings/configurations/customisations as before and this one worked fine. Which highlights the fact previous build had issue caused by MACs which likely has been resolved in Sugar Mobile 13 - Sugar Mobile 13.0 and Mobile SDK Are Live

As we have released the latest version of the app, I guess we can move on from this issue and leave it as unknown why issue was there.
