Hear from Sugar's Andrea Ayers (Sr. Product Trainer and Instructional Designer) on how to save time using Action Buttons.

Action Buttons are custom buttons that can be added to records to enable users to perform quick actions directly from records such as sending an email, creating or editing a related record, and opening an external web page. Action Buttons are implemented as a field type in Studio and are easily extended using Sugar Logic and SugarBPM.

Thanks for this video.

A customer has an old wRecords button that uses Run URL and tried to replicate it using Action button and Open Url option (I think they are the same function?), but it doesn't seem to work.

I checked the following documentation but the screenshots are missing the actual button configuration:

The button needs to be in Cases module that opens an external URL and append some field ID's and values.

Any pointers appreciated.
