How can we opt out of upgrading to this new UI?

We are upgrading all of our customers to this new UI. While Opting Out is not an option, we are giving customers advance notice to prepare.

Can we revert settings back to Sugar's traditional interface?

No. This redesign is a part of a new fixed layout and doesn’t include the option to revert to older settings. Once you try it, you won’t want to go back! 

Will we have to pay extra for the new UI?

There are no additional costs! This UI redesign is a part of our standard release and reflects our continued commitment to delivering fantastic products to our customers. 

When will our Sugar instance be upgraded?

We will start your upgrade between mid-February and March 15 and will follow the same process used for every quarterly Sugar release. You will receive an email informing you that we will upgrade your sandbox seven days beforehand, followed by another email saying we will upgrade your production instance seven days later. 

We have customizations in our Sugar instance, will these cause troubles during the upgrade?

Customers that have chosen to introduce customizations to the existing header/footer navigation may want to revisit whether those customizations are still required.  If customizations need to remain, customers are encouraged to speak with their designated Partner or Customer Success Manager to help determine associated effort and cost to refactor the relevant customizations. Please take a look at the "How do I Prepare" section of this space.
