I am trying to integrate our Exchange server with SugarCRM, for notifications and more. After few tries & alterations I seemed to hit a dead end and keep getting this error:
Did it happend to anyone? How did you solve it?
If you go to Admin > System Settings and click "View Log" (at the bottom) and then click "All". Here you can see the full error from the email server when Sugar tries to connect to it.
More often than not, the issue usually winds up being invalid server information or invalid credentials.
The error message says, The “Outbound Mail Server” is incorrect.
So, you can check the right outbound server for your email service provider from here: https://store.outrightcrm.com/blog/imap-and-smtp-server-settings/
Also, it would be extremely convenient if you enter the app password instead of the regular email password.

SugarCRM shows this message when 2SV is active or when you haven’t activated the display unlock captcha.
If using the App password then you won’t need to worry about both above things.
