How does the integration between sugar market and Oktopost work around tracking activities such as likes, comments, messages and mentions?

I have a few queries related to tracking social engagement in Oktopost and lead scoring in Sugar.

1. We are trying to score all social activity for a particular contact/lead in sugar using Oktopost. Can this be achieved?
2. Can activities such as likes, mentions, tags and comments be tracked by Oktopost and contribute toward Lead Scoring for a contact in Sugar.
3. Once we link CName to a form or a page, we can identify them as a lead. Is this right?
4. If 2 is true, do we then see all social engagement traffic and it is linked once the lead is identified?
5. If 2 is true, can we then score the comments, likes, and mentions?

I have found that this works for Microsoft dynamics and I can understand that all these activities are tracked by Oktopost.

How can we get them into Sugar Market and make them contribute towards lead Scoring?

Is there a way to do this?
Is Sugar planning to make some changes to the integration in the near future?

  •   We are wondering if Sugar intend to build a sync for this level of data. If not, CRM Strategy will as we value the data as part of the sales cycle before and in late stages. We want this data in SugarCRM with the marketing activities (in the journey tab)

  • Hi Shivam!

Great questions! Our Oktopost integration is mostly form based, so when you setup a social media that links to one of our forms that's configured with OktoPost it will show up on the Contact/Lead Journey - https://support.sugarcrm.com/Documentation/Market/Sugar_Market_User_Guide/Oktopost/

Currently, the other social activities, likes, mentions, tags, comments, are tracked only within the OktoPost platform. It's definitely a good idea to pass that information over to Market for scoring (or other) purposes. What you can do is score based off of the form submissions that are coming through the social channels.

In regards to your third question, I'm not entirely sure I understand the question. Once you apply the CNAME to the Page we will be able to identify those records coming from Oktopost - yes that's correct! There are some other configurations to make sure are done as well. I see you have an open case with one of our representatives on this topic, I've touched based with them so we can discuss further for some clarification.

While I'm not aware of any near future plans with the OktoPost integration, we're always working on building our integrations and adding features, so these recommendations are always great to receive! We'll go ahead and capture these ideas in the case you have with support so we can get this over to our team.

    Thank you so much.

  • Hi guys, i was looking for some screenshots of social activity in the Market Journey and came across this post. In case you haven't seen it yet - the ability to see the social activities from Oktopost is now available in the Journey Dashlet.
