Editing Config settings file through API

Question

Hi, 
 
 I am a software developer who was just added to our companies efforts to further our integration with sugar. There are a few settings I can find documentation for that I cannot access through the UI (maybe I am just missing them?). Notably, the enableLinkToDrawer setting is something our customer service would like to be changed. 
 
 Since we are on a cloud based Sugar instance, I do not have access to the file system to edit the config file directly. I have found a few endpoints that seem to be setup to help with this but the documentation is pretty sparse, and I'm not sure my changes are actively being picked up by the config file. Has anyone worked through changing settings through the api or specifically how to disable drawers?

 Thanks for sharing! So you have a couple options: 1) I recommend you file a case with Sugar Support ( https://portal.sugarondemand.com ) and ask them to add 
 
 $sugar_config[ 'enable_link_to_drawer' ] = false ; to your ./config_override.php. Then run a Quick Repair from the Admin. 2) The other option is to install code to update the config setting - some configs are restricted like package_scan so just keep that in mind.
