Creating Reports in Sugar Discover

Hi all, long time lurker first time poster. :) We're just dipping our toes into Sugar Discover, and some of the out of the box reports are great, but they're set to display Opportunities by Industry which isn't relevant for us. I'm curious how to duplicate the reports (if possible) and change the display Region or Opportunity Type vs Industry.

For example, the OTTB report "Win Rate Trend" would be helpful to be displayed by Region vs by Industry.

Unrelated 2nd question, does Discover allow for other modules besides Cases & Opportunities? We like to analyze Seller activity through Calls or Meetings and connect that to Opportunity creation or modification, but doesn't look like Discover allows other modules unless I'm missing something

Thanks!

  • Hi Tim, welcome to the Club! :D

Here's how you can update the OOTB reports, using Win Rate Trend as the example:

    1. Open the report in the Sugar Discover interface and click Save As to create a copy of the report with a new name.
    2. Open the Query Layout panel by clicking the bar chart icon in the upper left.
    3. On the Lines "shelf", click on "Industry" and drag it to the list on the left to remove it. You can also click on it and select "Remove" from the dropdown.
    4. Grab your new field (Region, in your case) and drag it to the Lines shelf.
    5. Click Save again to make sure the changes were saved!

For your second question, no, currently Discover only supports Cases and Opportunities. Please file a case with Support if you'd like to request that as a future idea!
