Hello Fellow Sugas,
The maintenanceMode config setting allows Sugar Admins to block all non-admin users from accessing the application.
This can be useful when deploying changes—such as Module Loader updates, upgrades, or data correction patches—where you need users to be out of the system.
For SugarCloud customers, enabling maintenance mode requires raising a support case, as there’s no built-in UI option for it.
A while back, one of our former Support colleagues shared a custom package that let Admin's enable and disable maintenance mode through install/uninstall of said package.
I recently used it on a customer engagement and found it very handy—so I decided to improve it a bit and share it back with the community.
Instead of enabling/disabling via installation, I’ve created a version with a Toggle button. Once installed, you’ll see a new panel where you can turn maintenance mode on or off—no need to go through Module Loader each time.
Feel free to download the package, adapt it as needed, and use it at your discretion.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
André
