Can I use a relate field to pull in details from another module?

Relationships create a bidirectional connection between two modules. Record A has a link to record B, and record B has a link to record A. Relate and Flex Relate fields, on the other hand, both create a one-way connection between two modules. Record A has a link to record B, but record B shows no reference to record A.

Personally, I've found that a lot of folks who opted for a relate field wound up migrating the data to a relationship field later, which can be troublesome. Especially if you want to pull data from the other module. For example, Sugar Logic can pull data from a related record into the main record, while it cannot pull data from a flex relate record.

As there are many ways to achieve requirements, may I ask what you are trying to do, what's the objective please?

Pulling data into RLI module that already exists in the Account module results in duplicate data, therefore should only be done when whatever you're trying to achieve cannot be done any other way.
