Is it possible to string search the product catalog within the Product Catalog Dashlet?

the dashlet below (visible to the right of the Quotes record view) searches for products in the name field but the information to be searched for is in the description field

I would like have this feature also so the sales team can find a product by feature that is located in the description.

Thank you for clarifying. The solution is possible but not quite simple. It is required to extend the endpoint POST /ProductTemplates/tree.

This is something we can do. Let me know if you would like to have it implemented.
