Sugar Connect - Wildcard search within a module

For Eg. when searching for a name like "Pearl Dsouza" in the LEADS module, using "%Pearl Dsouza" returns no results. However, if I search with only one name or without a space, like "%Pearl", results appear.

Is this the expected search behavior?
