Knowledgebase blank email alerts

Not seen this before, maybe a v14 bug?

We are receiving blank email alerts whenever a user creates a knowledgebase record, and sets status to Published.

The emails are completely blank, and no subject.

There are no BPM definitions or email templates setup at all relating to knowledgebase, so it could be a bug with the standard notification on assignment emails, but even then these shouldn't send to you when the record is created by yourself?

Any ideas welcome.

  • Hi Tony,

    Thanks for your post!

In a stock instance of Sugar, this should work with a complete email that would say something like the following:

    Document has been published.

    Name: How to do
    Created Date: 2024-12-02 10:18
    Created By: Administrator
    Status: Published

You may review this Document at: https://Sugar.whatever.com

Is it possible you have customized this email in the past? It isn't in the typically available email templates, so the only way to modify it is with custom code. Let me know what you think, and let me know your exact Sugar version ( 14.0.1?  or something else?). I'm happy to help!
