translator

Hello together.

We are an international company with locations all over the world. Out colleauges in china struggle with the CRM because of the language barrier.

Is there a plug in or a possibility to translate the entrys from our colleagues in china simultanously from chinese to englisch? Meaning the colleague in china is writing in chinese and the entry is translatet imeadiately into englisch. To be readable for the rest of the company.

Using open translation apps or platforms in not the prefered solution (Data privacy), nice would be to have it directly in the CRM.

Best regards Regina

  • I remember there was a customer with a similar problem.

They introduce English fields for all the texts and varchars, like comment_eng_c for comment and name_eng_c for name a.s.o.

When a new record was saved a default text was written to these fields like "**translation missing**" and when needed somebody had to replace the default text by the appropiate translation.

If you follow Chris' proposal of a company app which could be connected to sugar perhaps by logic hooks and each time empty fields were found the translator could fill them with sth. like "auto:".$translated_text.

Later when a human intelligence rates this translation for good this human could remove the "auto:" prefix.
