Database alignment

Hi 

Thank you in advance for your help, 

When we have 3rd party releases for bugs/ improvements, they need to perform a database realignment before releasing to our production instance. Can anybody confirm what a database alignment actually is and how long this should take for a 30Gb instance.

    I am not certain what you mean by "database alignment." In my 11+ years supporting SugarCRM, I have not encountered the term until reading this post.

    Can you offer any additional insight into what is meant by the term? Perhaps I am familiar with it using different terminology.
