Hide Inactive contacts from the Contacts subpanel in the Accounts Module

Hello! 
 We've added a checkbox in the Contacts module (Inactive) to help our reps identify if a contact is no longer active in the Account. We'd like to keep them linked with the Account for records, however, we don't want those inactive contacts visible in the Contacts subpanel within the Accounts module. Is there a simple way to do this?

Have you considered hiding the Inactive contacts by Teams so that most Teams would not have access to them, but those who need the historical data / sugar administrators, still retain access and can view them like all other contacts both in the list view and the subpanel view?

YES! A Team called "No Longer There" which allows some to see the contact. Also, a "Do Not Contact" checkbox, and a "Contact Type" may help with the sorting.
