Using Connect Copy to CRM Folder

We currently us an Outlook Rule to move emails to the Copy to CRM folder for processing, then they get kicked back to the Inbox.

This makes it so a user doesn't have to remember when they should put something in the Copy to CRM folder to be sync'd.

What I have noticed is that internal emails often get moved immediately to the Inbox, but the sweep Connect does of the Copy to CRM folder doesn't always move internal emails back to the Inbox.

I'll open a support ticket, but I wonder how others deal with Connect and the use of the Copy to CRM folder.

  • We worked with John and believe we have discovered the root cause of the behavior he describes. It's a combination of several factors.

Sugar has been rolling out changes to improve the speed at which we ingest emails from mailboxes. If you attempt to archive all inbound and outbound messages by moving all inbound messages to Copy to CRM and turning on auto-archive of outbound messages, there is a chance that Sugar Connect will try to process the same message twice, once from a Sent folder and once in Copy to CRM.

We're working on a fix to this issue to make sure messages don't linger in the Copy to CRM folder.

  • the speed at which the processing from the Copy to CRM folder to Inbox is AMAZING now. Often it is almost immediate instead of the 10 or 15 minutes it used to take!

Thank you for all the work you and your team are doing. As I said last week, thank you very much.
