BPM Doc Merge

Hi,

SugarCRM 12 Enterprise

I am trying to use SugarBPM to create a PDF with Doc Merge and then email it out.

I have dropped an action widget on to my design canvas and configured it for 'Doc Merge' by adding my template and ticking the PDF checkbox.

I fired the process and it completed without any errors, but I cannot see where the PDF document has gone (it is not in the Documents module) and I cannot see how I can get hold of the resulting PDF in BPM to email it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Tony

  • We set up getting Quotes as PDFs via BPM's Doc Merge and in addition to that configure a logic hook to send over the file to the addressee as an email attachment - the logic hook runs on its after_save in Sugar; addressee is selected via the link to the parent record, getting the body for the email is also provided in the logic hook configuration.

Although we cover that automation gap via no-code configuring with the Logic Builder tool, we'd also much appreciate it if the vendor provide enhancement to SugarBPM, so that the generated file could be set to send over to addressees as an email attachment directly with the Sugar BPM process.

If I'm not wrong, there should be also another option available -check with your Partner - to subscribe W-Docs, which perhaps can do the work, as Vincent shows
