Hi All,
I would like to use a checkbox and use the formula below to auto-check the checkbox if true. I don't think I'm going about this the right way. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I will be using the checkbox to help fire a BPM.

$date_start is a date_time field so you need to strip the time off.
please keep in mind te checkbox will only be calculated once a record is saved so you need to create or edit a record "today" to fire the BPM
Your formula is:
equal(subStr(toString($date_start),0,10),toString(today()))

ok, then you need to follow Sugars guideline for SugarBPMs. Build one SugarBPM per lifetime of a record. Create a loop that changes a field every 24h (which changes/saves the record and you are fine* :-) )
*Don't run reports or SugarBMPs on date modified anymore
