Can i run a report that shows me accounts for which there are no contacts?

We've been doing a massive clean up of the contacts we have in SugarCRM.  As part of this exercise, where contacts have not engaged with us for x months based on data from our marketing automation system we've been deleting contact records.  I'd now like to get a list of the accounts we have in our SugarCRM system that don't have one or more contacts.

  • Hi Patrick Neary,

    Here we go:

    1. Create a rows and columns report for Accounts

    2. Define Filter as follows

    3. Chose your display columns

    4. Give the report a name and tick the box!

    5. And here is your list of accounts without contacts :-)

The trick is that we have a criteria that can't match in case of we have a contact record attached so this report will never give a result but the report shows all account records where the relation we filter for does not exsists :-)

  • The screenshots from Björn are no longer available, but an update to this thread was requested, so I believe these are current approximations of what these screenshots had been.  - please correct me with any corrections Slight smile

  • Oh by the way It would be great to filter for list and columns report results (in the specified module) in listviews - as other CRM systems can do - ... as I currently have no access to support, can you please create an Enhancement request?

  • - I'd love to help there, but I'm not positive I understand the request. I read that in two different ways, both of which are currently available (although one is a new feature that you might not be as familiar with yet).

Do you mean being able to filter on the report modules and types within the Reports module list view?

Or, within the specific modules (Contacts, Accounts, etc), you can now use the Reports Dashlet to run context-aware reports and better use the existing reports without having to open the Reports module. This functionality was added in the recent Q4 2022 release

If I'm misunderstanding, please send me a message with some more details and we can chat further!
