Sugar Plug-in for Outlook 2.4.0

Hi,

When archiving an email from Outlook to Sugar a user only has access to accounts and leads. Is it possible to enable contacts as well?

Please find pictures attached for better understanding. FYI The screenshots were taken from users with different SugarCRM roles.

Thanks!

  • Hi Gabriela,

Yes, you can enable access to Contacts for the user in Administration > Role Management

For the first user access to Contacts seems disabled there so you can check his roles from his user profile in the "Access" tab. If the user is in different roles the most-restrictive setting will prevail, so if one role setting enables Contacts and another one disables it for the same user then it Contacts will be disabled.

The role access between Outlook and Sugar is the same, so it is not possible to disable access to Contacts in Sugar and enable it in Outlook.

Can you check and let me know if enabling Contacts in all assigned roles of that user solves this?

    Thanks,

    Dennis

  • Hi Dennis,

    Thanks for the answer.

This is the access of the user:

And he is just in one role. Should we change something?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Dennis Wangerin, any idea on how we cal solve the issue Gabriela is explaining? The user access looks fine with enabled and normal, and the role he's assigned too has exactely the same.

Any idea on how we can solve it?? thanks a lot!

  • Hi Gabriela,

Thanks for the screenshot, the role settings for Account and Contacts look the same so I also don't see any obvious reason why Accounts would show but not Contacts.

I think for that it would be best to create a support case so a support engineer can jump on a quick screen share meeting and see if there are any other factors in the setup that can explain that.
