I am having problems installing the Outlook Plug-in.

I am having problems installing the Outlook Plug-in.

I am running a Windows 8.1 on a Surface Pro using Outlook 2013 through Office 365. The primary plug-in candidate Sugar Plug-in for Outlook 365 32bit 2.1.0 fails with a message "Microsoft Outlook 2010/2013 32 bit is not detected on this machine. Please confirm you are using the proper setup of plugin."

I have also attempted installing other versions, but get the same error message.  I have tried to following the "Installing the Sugar Plug-in for Outlook" to the letter including uninstalling Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime.  Microsoft .NET 4.0 Framework seems to be already installed.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Regards...Stephen.

  • Hi Stephen,

May I know your SugarCRM version?

  • Hi Stephen,

Have you tried installing the Sugar Plug-in for Office 365 64bit version? Or the Outlook 2013 version? Those are the next things I would try.

  • Megan,

Thanks for your note.  I’ve tried to install most of the versions, including the one’s you’ve mentioned.

I’m using “Outlook 2013 32-bit – Part of Microsoft Office 365 Business” according to my Outlook settings.

This version of Outlook might not support add-in’s according to Sugar Support.

Hopefully I’ll get confirmation either way soon.

    Regards..Stephen.

  • Devang,

We’re using Sugar OnDemand - SugarCRM Enterprise, Version 7.6.2.1 (Build 9).

I’m using “Outlook 2013 32-bit – Part of Microsoft Office 365 Business” according to my Outlook settings.  This version of Outlook might not support add-in’s according to Sugar Support.

    Regards..Stephen.
