How to create a Dependent Catalog Product

Greetings!

I'm hoping to add a dependent Training product to our Catalog whereas based on products they added to the quote from specific Categories, would either auto-insert the line item, or prompt the User to? It wouldn't be required and no cost would be associated.

The goal is to ensure the (correct)Training isn't forgotten when the other applicable items are added.

Question: is this possible to add a dependent product to the catalog without customizing?

We are Sugar-hosted / Enterprise on v10.0 Sugar

Any insight would be most appreciated!

Such feature is possible but it requires some few customization on Product Catalog (self 1:M relationship) and some code customization on QLI GRID under Quotes.
We have done exactly this same feature for a couple of customers.
