track session time by module

hi Guys,

hope you all are very well.

I am trying to track how much time my users are spending on a specific module eg : Calls.

Basically i am trying to find out number of records created and time taken by users on the module.

Using Trackers module i am able to get number of records created / viewed however i am unable to get time taken to create these records.

Any direction would be great here.

Hello Kunal,
Following are a couple of observations.

1) https://community.sugarcrm.com/ideas/1498
For this solution, you will need to create a custom module and track user login by creating logic hooks in the users module.
2) https://support.sugarcrm.com/Knowledge_Base/Reports/Understanding_Tracker_Reports/
I believe you have already checked this and found that after enabling "tracker session", user's login record starts getting logged in tracker_sessions table.
From tracker_sessions you can check the user is logged in or not.
But in both solutions when the user closes the browser without logout than no record will be created and you can't for sure say whether the user was still active or not.
To make this work properly user must log out before closing the browser.
I recommend the second solution as it is good and it is OOTB functionality and you won't need to develop a lot of extra functionality over there.
