customers not being recognised by sugar plugin for outlook

Some of our customers are not being recognised by the Outlook plugin

even on creating a customer through the plugin it then does not link the emails to the contact card. I have a suspicion it is due to the formate of the email address

first name last name <firstname.lastname@customeraccount.com.au> where the sugar customer record only has firstname.lastname@customeraccount.com.au

this is very frustrating as this is a key feature that we use for maintaining correct records of customer contact.

    Can you please confirm that you are using the latest version (2.2.0) of the Sugar Outlook plug-in? I know there was an issue with an earlier release with capitalisation of email addresses, however this has been resolved in the latest version.

    I thought that we had been using the very latest version as we only signed up to Sugar 3 weeks ago. It appears that this was not so and I have now loaded the very latest versions. Previously when i wen to downloads there was multiple outlook files to download and not a single option. I downloaded all these files so that if there were different versions of Outlook i had all the correct files to install.

    I will monitor this now to see if it has been resolved and get everyone to uninstall and reinstall the latest outlook update.
