Future of the Contracts module?

I understand SugarCRM is no longer supporting Projects in v7.
What is the future of the Contracts module?
I am planning to use it but noticed that it's not a Sidecar module and will run in BWC once upgraded, is there a plan to move it to Sidecar?

Jeff,
Is Projects back and supported, or just back?
My understanding was that one could use Projects but that the module was no longer supported and therefore would not be upgraded to Sidecar.

Projects is back in the sights for Sugar 7. It will be revamped and moved to Sidecar. When this will happen is still in the open.
It is included in Sugar 7.5 - but it will then be in legacy style (i.e. not a Sidecar module)

Is there any update on a planned upgrade for the contracts module, we use this pretty heavily and it would have a big difference to us if it was brought up to date!

Hi Elizabeth,
We are indeed planning to upgrade Contracts module and bring it out of the BWC mode to sidecar. Currently, it is on our road map for sometime later this year as part of few other modules that we intend to bring out of BWC mode together.
