Experience witt quotes/order in CRM to ERP

Does any one have experience with including the ability of creating quotes/orders in CRM (based on product, allocations, prices etc from ERP) and submitting the created quotes/orders back in to ERP?

For us this is an often requested and missed functionality and could boost the adoption on sales reps significantly.

The reason I want to explore this option is to avoid that another app is implemented.

  • Hi Arie, yes this is a common request that we deal with and normally we use the REST API to do this. We normally sync the product catalog with the products nominals etc in the ERP and push the ERP ID to the related account. We then create two new modules related to the quotes module (invoices and credit notes) then once a quotation is accepted we create the invoice or credit note in the ERP and then sync back the balance and roll this up to the related account. which then allows you to report on YTD etc. Costs wise it depends on the ERP, Sage200, Great Plains, SAP, Epicor, Netsuite etc, we have done the majority of these as enable.services, please feel free to get in touch if we can help joe@enable.services

  • Thx. I will bring it up with our IT first to see how they feel about this direction.

  • Hi Arie,

As mentioned by  , the synching of product catalog from ERP to CRM and synching of Quotes from CRM to ERP is a common ask.

Typically the master for product catalog is ERP and the master for Quotes is CRM.

You can further improve the usability of CRM by pushing the Quotes Won from CRM to ERP and creating a Sales Order in ERP.
