Lead Follow-ups

Hello All,

Curious to learn how everyone is managing follow-ups on leads - are you using tasks?

Right now we automatically create tasks. Once a lead is created so is a task a few days out. Once that follow-up is completed a task is closed and another one is then generated on the lead a few days out... etc.

We want to automate it so the auto tasks stop once a lead is converted or is marked dead, but are having some challenges getting that set up.... Has anyone been successful with this before?

Any guidance or best practices would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Andrew

  • Setting tasks prsuppose managing that tasks which quickly become fairly excessive in terms of managing the business model - the proof of such a statement is the fact that you are already looking for automation to get rid of that "routine"...

In the case of simple lead management that ends with lead qualification, the stage of the lead processing supported by returnTo date field is more than enough

The tricky thing is how to manage returnTo dates in a single feed along with other important dates in SUgar especially if the leads are prioritized -  so that to refresh leads in a click along with providing the lead's note as an update on return to the lead

That one we have solved by employing a Need ToDo Viewer addon, so that to be aware of all upcoming important dates and also use TimeLine Viewer to stay tuned about all the important key events happened regarding the Lead (altogether it is Event management Suite for Sugar) on the date we return to the lead

However, the addon is rather a sweet thing for better performance - again, the model itself includes introducing stage to the lead (e.g. new, MQL, SQL, Nurturing, Dead) and returnTo as date.

    I hope this helps
