I'm assuming you meant to say the dashlet will appear on 'account B' rather than 'dashlet B'. Is the issue that the dashlet is showing unexpected data when viewing account B or that you do not want the dashlet to show at all?

If it's the data in the dashlet, can you provide more detail on the dashlet type and how you have it configured?

If it's the visibility of the dashlet you are looking to control, the intended behavior of Sugar is that the dashlet layouts in a module's record view intelligence pane will persist regardless of the record shown. There are code-level customizations that can be done to conditionally show dashlets. If you're based in the US, our company, Upsert, LLC, can provide you an estimate on such an effort as we are a Sugar partner. If you are outside the US, I recommend seeking out a regional Sugar partner if you are already not engaged with one.

It's slightly difficult as I do not want to share the data. These are the steps:

1. I created a report with a graph showing Closed vs Open Opportunities ARR for Account A. 

2. I then added that report in form of a dashlet to Account A - Account Record Dashboard. 

3. Then I wanted to do the same for other accounts, but when I went to Account B I was that the same dashlet was already applied there - with Account's A data. 

What can I do (possibly without coding) to be able to add ARR dashlet to each account so that it represents that account's data?

I would like to be able to add dashlets only to the chosen accounts - right now it seems that when I add a new dashlet created from a report it applies to all other accounts, but it shows the data of the original report / account. 

I understand why that happens, but is there anything I can do about it?

Hi Ada Napierala,

If you are running on at least Sugar 12.2, you should be able to achieve this. For the original report, you want to be sure not to include any filters on explicit account records. Then, when you add the report dashlet to the account record view, you want to select the 'Related to Current Record' checkbox and then the 'Field or Subpanel' dropdown to 'Opportunity':

This will implement a dynamic filter in the report dashlet so it is contextual to the account you are viewing. If you are running Sugar on-premise, I believe this functionality will be available to you in the upcoming 13.0 release.

Hi Ada Napierala,

If you're referring to the dashlets that can be placed on the focus drawer layout, that does not appear to be possible currently. I'm not sure if that's a bug or an enhancement. Since the focus drawer provides a similar context as the record view, I would think you should be able to apply dynamic filters to reports dashlets there too. 

If you're referring to the Overview tab of the Renewals Console, those cannot be made dynamic to a specific account since that is a generic dashboard layout. 

Please let me know if I'm misunderstanding your inquiry.

I am referring to dashlets in focus drawer in the Renewal Console - I tried to add one today, but it does not have the "Relate to Current Record" option - I will need to reach out to Sugar Support to find out if this will be added in next update. 

I just have one more question regarding Account Record Dashboards - there are some out of the box dashlets (Active Subscriptions, Opportunity Metrics) - is there a way to edit them - more specifically a way to change the fields they pull data from? 

E.g Opportunity Metrics seems to be pulling data from Amount or Total Value - I would like to change it to Unit Price - is that possible at all?
