Assigning task to a record owner and their specific team through PD

SugarBPM does not allow you to dynamically set the team of a newly created record. Are you looking to set the team on the task record to the same team(s) associated with the parent record or are you looking to set it to the default team(s) defined under the assigned user's profile?

Set the team on the task record to the same team as associated with the record owner. But yes you are right BPM doesn't allow us to dynamically assign teams. It will be good to have, But my team is working for a code fix on this. Thanks for your revert

if it is not really dynamically but fixed teams and your assiged users position is not a hire and fire one, you can create a business rule that do your job... the rule says if assignee is X assign team a... or you can set up a diverging gateway based on other attributes like "if region is like USA" assign team usa... think out of the box or provide more information how we can assist you on archiving the goals you have :-)

sometimes an attribute on the account that represents an assigne(group - independent of the individual person) might help.....

The 3.0 release of our Upsert BPM Essentials plug-in is now available and includes a BPM action for inheriting the team set from any parent relationship! Once the action is added to the design, you specify the parent relationship to leverage and how to inherit the teams (replacing the existing teams or appending to the existing teams):

Our plug-in also has an action to inherit any user relationship from a parent record as well so using one or both of these features in SugarBPM allows you to efficiently route records with the proper ownership and visibility, and best of all, no code.
