Hi,

Our customer has a picklist field "type_c" on account with value "company" and "person".

A field "companyid_c" is visible when the value "company" is selected, otherwise this field is hidden.

They want me to change the functionality to: Always visible, but required when company is selected.

But I can not find how the visibility rule is configured. In studio there are no formula's and in files/code I can't find where it is configured.

Any tips on where to start? What file is usually edited to achieve this?

Hello Stijn Vermeulen,

You can have the visibility rules defined in different places in Sugar.

A good start would be checking the following:

1 - Dropdown dependent Layout is Studio for the record view.

2 - Dependent field setting in Studio for companyid_c, Formula or Parent Dropdown.

3 - In the code base you can have a look at the custom dependency files that would normally be here for the Accounts module:

custom/Extension/modules/Accounts/Ext/Dependencies/<file>.php

The functionality was found in the custom/Extension/modules/Accounts/Ext/Dependencies/<file>.php
