Ability to show external app pages inside SugarCRM onclicking the link

Hi,

I have a requirement to show my application reports and statements inside SugarCRM account. My application is hosted externally. The requirement is

- Create a menu

- On clicking the menu show the external page inside SugarCRM page section.

Kindly guide here.

I have not tried to do this, but if this was asked of me I would start by considering one of two approaches:

- A custom Dashlet

- A custom Layout

https://support.sugarcrm.com/Documentation/Sugar_Developer/Sugar_Developer_Guide_12.0/User_Interface/Layouts/Creating_Layouts/

Each approach has its limitations and the complexity and size of your reporting will inform your choices.

There are probably more, and better, ways to address this that others more experienced than me can suggest.
