Updating permissions at a field level in Sugar Market

Hello,

Our Channel guys are looking to use Sugar Markets API to push data to. They are saying a field they want to set is read-only (account_name). I am looking in the docs but it is not clear to me how to update the permissions at a field level in Sugar Market. Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks

  • Hi,

In Sugar Market the roles area allows you to add and remove system features. If a user is on a particular role, this user will only be able to access the features granted by the role.

The roles area does not allow you set fields to read only. If a user has access to the records in the Market database this user can edit the field.

Roles is an area of Market we will be looking at upgrading in the future. As of right now if a user can see the feature, record or field this means the user has write access to that information.

    Thanks
