Users as Part of an Email Campaign

We have 100's of users in Sales that are synced from the CRM.  We do monthly email newsletters campaigns that I would like Sales to see the emails as well.  That way if they get a question from the customer, they have a chance to know what the customer is referencing.  Users in Sales are constantly being added and many are in SM as contacts/leads but those are not synced to the CRM.  I created a report for Users so I can add them to the email delivery Recipients however I get an error stating that:

  • Report does not have Contacts.ContactID and Contacts.Email columns.

Is there a way around this because currently I need to add them as contacts/leads manually.  I would prefer to set it up so that it is automated.

    Sugar Market campaigns can only send to contacts and leads that are stored on the Sugar Market Contacts table.  So it won't be able to directly email to the users in the system.  That being said, the users can be added as either contacts or leads and then you can use them in your campaigns. If they all share your email domain then once they are created on the contact table you should be able to use a report on the contacts table and pull in records that have that domain.

    You can either import them as new records directly in Sugar Market or you can create them as contacts or leads in the connected CRM and have them sync over to Sugar Market.  If many users are being created then it might be easier to do on the CRM side and make a contact or lead for the user part of your process for creating new CRM users.

    I've not used Sugar Market, but doesn't it store what was sent within the Campaign email marketing records?

    I would like Sales to see the emails as well.  That way if they get a question from the customer, they have a chance to know what the customer is referencing

    Sugar Market does store the email campaigns within Sugar Market and they can be viewed either in the Sugar Market campaign dashboards or on the contact/lead journey.  The journey is also available via the Iframe so the "Sugar Market" button in SugarCRM can also display a contact/lead's Sugar Market journey information, which includes the emails they have received from Sugar Market.
