Changes of unsubscribe link

Hi,

We have created our own opt-out page for our customer. Therefore, they want to turn off the function that in Email Builder 2.0 automatically chooses that Sugar Markets' own unsubscribe page should be included in the email (see image below). How do we change it so that it is no longer standard to attach Sugar Markets unsubscribe page to an email?

  • Hi Frida,

You'll just set the toggle in the screenshot you have here to off. It will give a warning because of the legal requirements around unsubscribes. However, if you know you have included another link which satisfies the requirement, then you can ignore the warning. The email will still send. It would be the same as if you were sending an email that did not require an unsubscribe link, such as an account notification or other non-marketing related send.

You'll also want to check any unsubscribe links within the email itself to confirm that they are linking to your preferred unsubscribe page. If you are using any of our templates, typically the link within the email will be going to the default Sugar Market unsubscribe page for that instance.

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

That we know. But the customer would like this toggle to always be off. To prevent anyone to forget to set it to off when sending emails. Is that possible?

  • Hi Frida,

There is not currently a default setting to have this always toggled to Off, however you are able to submit this as an enhancement request through our support team for consideration in the future.

    Thanks,

    Jana
