Using a nurture campaign with Events

Currently our Events module uses our stand alone Emails and does not interact with our Nurture Module. While we don't have an estimated date, reimaging our Events module is something we want to pursue in the future.

The answer to this question very much depends on your use case and what you are looking to accomplish. We regularly have customers use nurtures to drive registrations to the event. Sending the post-registration emails (confirmation, reminders, etc.) is better handled by the event triggers due to the specific nature of when they need to send in relation to the event.

While a nurture could easily handle the post event confirmation, it would not have features such as the event merge tags or calendar links, and subsequent messages cannot be scheduled in relation to the event date. Since you would have various registrants coming in a different times, the nurture can't coordinate everyone to then receive reminders at a specific time, such as the day or hour before the event. The Events module is able to accommodate this though.
