Post Purchase Customer Onboarding

Hey there,

we are selling software for secure digital communication to B2B customers.

Our post purchase/customer onboarding process includes:

  • completing customer data in CRM
  • generating and sending of order confirmation
  • sending onboarding email, incl. licence file and installation manual
  • installation support (if ordered)
  • ensuring that the customer is able to secure his digital communication with us + his clients
  • making sure the customer is happy

Since this is a process that is a) not automated at all, b) involves several departments and c) cannot be monitored properly my idea was to implement a process in Sugar.

My questions are: is Sugar the right place and how would you implement it?

Happy to hear your thoughts

  • Hi  ,

Customer onboarding checklists are a great use of Sugar as the progress through that onboarding experience provides transparency to anyone working on the account in Sugar. We implemented this feature for other clients using Smart Guides in Sugar Automate. With Smart Guides, you have robust configuration options to control when the work items are assigned, who they are assigned to, when they are due, and more. Smart Guides are a great way to tie in the efforts of various departments working towards a common goal and also give you easy indicators to follow to ensure nothing falls behind schedule unexpectedly.
